Easy Walks Through the Hallertau

Discover the Hallertau on foot and at your own pace. This hiking trip takes you from Gütlsdorf to Mauern through the varied landscape of the Hallertau. The route follows quiet side roads as well as field and forest paths, leading through small Bavarian villages. Hop gardens, meadows and fields accompany you along the way, while beautiful views of the gently rolling landscape open up time and again. Walk entirely at your own pace and take time for small breaks and special moments along the way. Your luggage will be transported to your next accommodation, allowing you to enjoy the hike without any extra weight to carry. At the end of the trip, we will organise your return transfer for you – leaving you free to focus on what really matters: being outdoors, enjoying nature and discovering the Hallertau on foot.

        Best Time to Travel

        The trip can be booked from mid-May to mid-/late September. During this time, you can experience the Hallertau and its hop-growing tradition. A special highlight is the hop harvest from approximately 3 to 15 September, when this traditional craft can be experienced live – a great experience for beer and food lovers!

        Information about the Hiking Tour

        The tour is a moderately difficult hike. A certain basic fitness level is required, but no special hiking experience is necessary. Suitable hiking equipment is recommended.

        Transfers

        We are happy to organise suitable transfers for your individual arrival and departure. On request, transfers can be booked from the train stations in Freising, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm or Rohrbach, as well as from Munich Airport. Hotel transfers (outward and return journey) or an individual transfer for the entire day can also be organised, subject to availability.
