Hallertau Hop Experience One-Day Tour

Hop Tour in the Hallertau – One Day in the Heart of Hop Country
Ever wondered how a green hop cone becomes the aroma in your beer? On this hop experience, you'll get to know the real Hallertau in a single day: the German Hop Museum in Wolnzach gives you the background, and a local hop farmer gives you the hands-on experience. The farmer shows you around his farm personally – you'll stand among the towering bines, hold fresh hops in your hands and see how they are picked and dried. At lunchtime, you'll stop at the historic Schlossbräukeller in Au, and the day ends with a relaxed beer break right on the hop farm.
The highlight of the year is the hop harvest in early to end-September, when you can watch the harvest live in the Hallertau – the world's largest contiguous hop-growing region.
