Step by Step Through Hops and Hills

Simply lace up your hiking boots and discover the Hallertau: This hiking tour takes you from one hotel to the next through the region’s varied landscape. Quiet country lanes, field and forest paths lead through typical Bavarian villages, over gentle hills and past the hop gardens that are so characteristic of the region. Along the way, beautiful views invite you to pause and take in the scenery. Walk at your own pace and enjoy time for small breaks along the way. While you are out exploring, your luggage will already be transported to your next hotel, so you can enjoy the journey without any extra weight to carry. At the end of the trip, our return transfer will take you comfortably back to your car, leaving you more time for what really matters: being outdoors, switching off and discovering the Hallertau step by step.

        Best Time to Travel

        The trip can be booked from mid-May to mid-/late September. During this time, you can experience the Hallertau and its hop-growing tradition. A special highlight is the hop harvest from approximately 3 to 15 September, when this traditional craft can be experienced live – a great experience for beer and food lovers!

        Information about the Hiking Tour

        The tour is a moderately difficult hike. A certain basic fitness level is required, but no special hiking experience is necessary. Suitable hiking equipment is recommended.

        Transfers

        We are happy to organise suitable transfers for your individual arrival and departure. On request, transfers can be booked from the train stations in Freising, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm or Rohrbach, as well as from Munich Airport. Hotel transfers (outward and return journey) or an individual transfer for the entire day can also be organised, subject to availability.
