Discover the Hallertau together as a family on foot. This hiking trip combines easy stages with varied experiences and plenty of time together. The route follows quiet side roads as well as field and forest trails, passing hop gardens and charming villages along the way through the typical landscape of the Hallertau.

Along the way, there is time for short breaks, a snack in nature and special moments together. There is always something to discover, with plenty of time to simply enjoy the landscape at your own pace.

Thanks to luggage transport and an organised return transfer, you can enjoy the trip in a relaxed and carefree way. This family hiking escape is a wonderful opportunity to spend time together – with outdoor activities, regional experiences and, most importantly, time for each other.

        Best time to travel

        The trip can be booked from mid-May to mid/late September and offers unforgettable insights into the world of hops during this time. It is particularly spectacular during the hop harvest from around September 3 to 15, when this traditional craft can be experienced live — an absolute highlight for all beer and food lovers!


        Information about hiking tours

        This family-friendly tour consists of easy hikes for adults. For children aged 6 and over, the hikes may feel moderately difficult due to the length of the stages. A good basic level of fitness is required, but no special hiking experience is necessary.


        Transfers

        We are happy to arrange suitable transfers for your individual arrival and departure. On request, a transfer can be booked from Freising, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm or Rohrbach train stations and from Munich Airport. A hotel transfer (round trip) or an individual transfer for the entire day can also be arranged, subject to availability.


        Your accommodation hotels

        The hotels listed in the itinerary may be fully booked on particularly popular dates. In this case, we will inform you and offer you an equivalent alternative nearby.


        Family accommodation

        The family accommodation consists of two double rooms, located either next to each other or opposite one another. It is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children up to and including 11.99 years of age. Please note that children must not have reached their 12th birthday by the time of check-in. If a child is already 12 years old at check-in, the hotel may charge additional fees directly at the property.
