Hop Sponsorship with Harvest Day

Your own hop vine in the Hallertau – with name sign, photo updates and a harvest day for 2 people.

The Hallertau is the largest hop-growing region in the world – and with this sponsorship, one of its vines is yours. It grows in a real hop garden at our partner hop farm near Au in der Hallertau, carries a sign with your name and climbs up to seven metres high between April and August.

All season long we keep you posted by email – with photos of your vine from spring training through flowering to the harvest.

In September you come for your harvest day as a couple: experience the hop harvest live in the hop garden, see the picking machine and hop kiln on the farm and raise a glass to your vine over a Bavarian snack and beer. You take home a hop wreath, the dried hop cones from your vine and your printed sponsorship certificate.

Arranging your harvest day is easy: get in touch by email or phone and we’ll book your preferred date within the harvest season, approx. 3–26 September. A gift for couples, friends and everyone who loves beer.

      Please note
        • Choose your harvest day within the harvest season (approx. 3–26 September 2027). Contact us by 31 July 2027 at info@visithallertau.de or +49 8752 25 44 858 with your voucher code, and we’ll book your date.
        • The hops decide when a row is ripe – the farmer usually knows only a few days in advance. That’s why we can’t guarantee your own vine will be harvested on your day. You’ll experience the harvest either way, and you’ll definitely receive the cones from your vine.
        • Enter the name for your sign and certificate when buying, or send it to info@visithallertau.de by 31 March 2027.
        • Meeting point: hop farm near Au in der Hallertau. You’ll receive the exact address by email a few days before your harvest day.
        • Please wear sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing – the harvest day takes place in any weather.
        • Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Beer from 16 years; soft drinks for children.
        • Languages: German, English, Italian.
        • If hail or disease destroys the harvest, you receive a replacement vine from another garden.

        Cancellation policy

        Free cancellation until 31 March 2027. After that no refund is possible, as your sign and vine are prepared for you from April. You can move an agreed harvest day free of charge to another day within the harvest season up to 7 days before. Your statutory right of withdrawal remains unaffected.
